Trial Begins for Man Accused of Murdering Trans Woman
July 23, 2010
A man accused of strangling to death a trans women in Kentish Town, London, in November has begun trial.

Leon Fyle, 22, of Laleham Road, Catford, murdered 29-year-old sex worker Destiny Lauren after visiting her flat for sex.
Lauren’s brother Linden was staying with her at the time but left the flat before Fyle’s arrival.
Linden was outside the flat the night his sister died and the court heard that Fyle matched Linden’s description.
The prosecutor, Duncan Penny, told the court that an arrangement by phone had been arranged between Fyle and Lauren prior to his arrival before he killed her by “compressing her neck,” according to the Hampstead and Highgate Express.
Fyle has pleaded not guilty to the November 5 murder.
Lauren worked as a sex worker from her Leighton Crescent flat. She began transitioning at the age of 17.
