Kylie Minogue to Perform at Madrid Pride
July 01, 2010
The world’s top voted gay icon, Kylie Minogue will perform at this weekend’s Pride in Madrid, Europe’s largest.

She is expected to perform from her latest album, Aphrodite and the latest single All the Lovers.
She said: "I am really very touched.
"For a long time now I have had a special relationship with the gay public and I am pleased that they are counting on me to celebrate such a special occasion."
Minogue has been voted the greatest gay icon of all time. She often tells the media that gay people “adopted” her when her albums received criticism.
She once said: "When I started out in music, going from acting to singing, that transition was very successful, but I also got flack for it. Many hurtful things were said. It wasn't easy."
She added: "I was only 19 and I think the gay audience kinda picked up on that and decided to defend me and adopt me. They saw I was being criticised for being myself."
