Introducing The Queer Village

February 18, 2010

The LGBT Social Networking Site ‘Pretty Pink Pearl has now re-branded as ‘The Queer Village’.

Started in April 2009 by Helen Brearley and Teresa Millward ‘The Queer Village’ now has over 10,000 members, is free to join and a great way to make new friends in the LGBT Community.

Helen and Teresa combine running their t-shirt business and ‘The Queer Village’ with being busy mums to their 3 beautiful foster daughters.

The idea for Pretty Pink Pearl was started because Helen and Teresa were frustrated with the lack of 'thought' that many t-shirt designers use when coming up with the standard lesbian slogan t-shirt and decided to offer something a little bit different and a bit more subtle. They wanted to create something you could wear to your grannies birthday bash without letting her know the real reason you 'still hadn't found the right man' but let any other unsuspecting lady there know you were gay.

‘The Queer Village’ lets you buy and vote on your favourite t-shirt, you can also browse the online shop and gbay, find a venue and event in your area, and interact with other members using blogs and forums.

Sign up today and chat with members from all around the world and become part of the’ Queer Village Community’.
