Auction Site Sperm Donor Posting Removed
November 11, 2009
A 26-year-old man from Gothenburg who describes himself as "used but in good condition", has offered sperm donation to lesbian couples in reaction to a recent Court of Appeal’s decision.
Alexander Kandiloros’s tongue in cheek response on the auction site Tradera was his comment on the recent decision by the Court of Appeal, which disallows a lesbian couple to continue trying for children by means of artificial insemination.
Kandiloros in an interview with The Local said: "It was intended to stir debate, to see if there was interest in this kind of service in view of the ruling,"
His tongue in cheek site post read: "Non-smoking 26-year-old in good physical shape, no hereditary diseases or allergies, good eyesight, brown hair, brown eyes, respectable beard growth, 1.76 metres/75 kg."
"I will come to the home of the highest bidder after this person has figured out when she is at her most fertile for intercourse, but I will do so at most three times."
"An intercourse-free alternative is of course also available,"
The advert was removed by the site administrators within 24 hours of being posted, with Tradera citing breach of the service agreements, which does not allow the sales of services, but not before a bid of 100 kronor was made.
Kandiloros concluded by saying: "I'm in a happy relationship with my girlfriend. We discussed this in advance and agreed that, whatever happened, she would lay the highest bid,"
