Speedos Make Alton Towers Blush

Alton Towers has formally banned the most revealing swimming trunks of all, the speedo, on the grounds of taste.

The slow increase of the speedo into the throws of modern society with many a man strutting their stuff around the pool in the all revealing speedo, has been a touch too much for the Alton Towers management, which has decided the swimwear is “more suited to Spain than Staffordshire”. 

 The Alton Towers rational for this move lies in the “totally atruistic” point of view that they would like to save those poor sods from embarrassing themselves, while also maintaining a friendly family environment. In the words of the Alton Tower spokesperson, “the style itself is not deemed public or family friendly” and they would prefer something that covers up a little more, like boardshorts.
 

With a tongue in cheek approach, Alton Towers, said the “skimpy bathers” are now a thing of the past, despite previous ideas of “offering complimentary male waxing” to “preserve the dignity of all our guests".

 

So off the speedo goes and by the look of things the bikini must be next.
