The role involves:
Required to negotiate, agree and report land and property projects and transactions.
The work is mainly office based with some requirement for site visits (one day per week).
The Rural Practice Surveyors will undertake approximately 6 site visits per week.
Must be able to provide valuations and estate advice, negotiate reductions in rateable value, rationalise property holdings and carry out client accommodation searches.
Must be capable of purchasing land and property interests by negotiating, competitive bidding and promoting compulsory purchase.
Required to manage the ‘estate’ by negotiating rentals, ensuring appropriate use of property, working in partnership with other organisations and managing the County Farms Estate.
Must be able to maximise capital receipts through the sale of land and property, achieving planning consent and creating opportunities to secure and release surplus land or buildings.
Must be fully qualified member of the Royal Institute of Charter Surveyors with extensive post-qualification experience.
Must possess sound technical ability in Estates work.
Must be able to write clear and concise reports. Must have good communication and negotiating skills.
Must be good at organising/prioritisation of workload.
